attested certificate Dec 13, 2007
Hello All

I am hoping someone can help me.

I need to send my attested certificates of my education and previous employment on to my company so they can put this in with my visa application.

First off can someone please tell me how my certificates can get attested. They are original certificates.
Secondly why do they say attested and not notarised.

In my whole career i have never heard of attested, i am hoping someone can explain to me.

I understand with computers nowadays anyone can knock up a certificate, but surely only the actuall institution where you studied can attest there own certificates. Now if i studied in 2 different countries 15-20 years ago who needs to contact them me or Dubai Gov.

Has anyone gone through the same as i am going now.

My company are now trying to get my visa without attested certificates. How hard will that be. I leave for Dubai in 14 days.

Anyone that can help i would apprectiate it.

Thanks everyone

Mark

I live here and I haven't done mine yet. But my friends have got it done. You have to do all the legwork yourself. If you studied in other countries, depending on the country, you have to go thru the embassy or there are agents here who do it for you for a fee. I also have a friend who got a visa processed for an engineering job without attestation. He is too daft to ask his employers how, but they probably listed him as a technician or something.
