Working in Dubai Dec 13, 2007
Hi Guys, IM a newbie, not sure where to post this, but here it goes.

Me and my spouse would like to imigrate to Dubai,Im currently from South Africa.
Currently working in the IT industry doing Technical Support.

I searched through a couple of Dubai Agents, find jobs but when moving from step 1 to step 2 i have to deposit money in their accounts about +-$92, is this wise, anyone experience this before and does it work.

THe fee is for the Paper they do for you, but how would I know its not a scam or a way to rip ppl off.
At the moment I applyd for a Passport which Im waiting for, How does one getting a VISA in dubai.
I read that I need to get a Residence VISA, or what kind of VISA would I need ifme and my wife would be imigrating together to work there.
What procedures do I need to follow.
Any help will be appreciated

It is a well-known (but somewhat legal) scam. Do not proceed. No REAL job agency here charges money.

P.S. Some of the biggest scammer "agents" even advertise in this country's biggest money-hungry newspapers.

its good then to ask befor to make any payement for such websites, and you re not even sure if it will work or no.

there are a number of lists provided on the "professionals" as well as "jobs in dubai" sections of this forum. look them up.

under UAE law it is ILLEGAL for a company to charge the prospective employee any kind of fees for placement!

I cant stand finding agents charging to find people jobs.
I find it quite frustrating for companies to even attempt to charge job seekers and taking advantage of peoples desperation to find a suitable job.

In my opinion, I'd just use reputable recruitment agencies or just upload your CV on all the jobsites - this is sure to have a more useful effect.

Good Luck!!

Here's a few Dubai job agencies that shouldn't charge fees (not all of them though).
