Is there anything that any of you have found you wish you had brought with you? I know this might be a personal question, but I'm thinking of little things like your favorite shampoo, a certain kind of peanut butter, a clothes steamer, etc.

Any pointers would be much appreciated!

Also, I haven't seen this discussed much on here, but is dry cleaning clothes generally expensive in Dubai? I know it is more expensive in Europe than it is in the US, so was just wondering.

Drycleaning is reasonable 29dhs a suit - probably could get it cheaper if I looked but it's all about convenience.

Yes bring your favourite peanut butter the ones here are mostly American style oil and sugar varieties, and bring toothpaste if you are particular

But when it runs out you will have to assimilate. You can pretty much buy anything here plus stuff you couldn't imagine

Oh actually - good quality sheets - the ones here are super expensive
