Can someone explain to me why people do this when displaying their mobile number on a public forum?
Is this some sort of secret code that i don't know about... or are they just dickheads?

Please don't ring this number to tell this person that they are a dickhead. I made the number up and I don't want anyone to get thrown in jail and deported.

Yeah, no need to diss them. I first saw this stuff on souq.com, where the website admins delete all contact details so they can be the middle man in a blind transaction. So people now post their phone numbers in hilarious styles in the Q&A section.
