Salik and Housing Sep 15, 2007
hi
im an international student doing a project about the effect that the Salik road tax has had on housing next to either one of its toll gates, so if you know anyone who lives in that area or any real estate agents that can give me information on the prices of the housing both before and after the tax was put up can you please let me know? i would greatly appreciate it.
thank you!

Bit of a tricky one, as an expat, there aren't any developments (yet) near either Salik gate.

Indeed I wouldn't. It's miles away.

Edit: Toll Gate top right, Emirates Hills bottom left.

Because you can't. They're not Freehold.

Fair enough. It doesn't seem that far to me when I'm driving. Maybe I should slow down...

Of course I am correct.

I will also point out, property in 'Freezones' is not always purchasable by expats, it is only property in designated 'Freehold' areas that can be purchased by expats.
