Im looking to buy BMW series 7 or 5, 1997,98,99.

How much costs maintenance of BMW about 10 yrs old in Dubai?

I've found 2 interesting cars:

BMW 740Li 1997
135000 km
for 28000 aed

BMW 523i 1998
117000 km
for 31000 aed

What do you think about these cars price and is it ok deal?

Is it a good descision to buy a 10 year old BMW in this part of the world?

Everyone I know seems to have regular problems with their 2 and 3 year old BM's... ignition trouble, injectors, alternators..

old cars that i would personally avoid are the 10yr old 7series, A8, S class. ever wondered why the resale on those are really low?

I had in europe BMW series 5, very good car and never heard that people have problem with them. For 7 series I don't know.

So, 5 series 10 yrs old better then 7 series same age?

Cause for the same money I can get Jeep Cheeroke also 8-10 yrs old and i think BMW is better car and more reliable.
