Anyone know the telephone number of the Rental Committee for questions and disputes on your tenancy contract?

Just go directly to Dubai Municipality head office in Deira. Ask the reception for Mr. Mansoor (if I'm not mistaken) for consultancy.

2007 rules, basically:
1. if you had the first contract in 2006, then you're entitled not to get raise at all in 2007.
2. if this is not your first/second contract, then you can be charged for not more than 7% raise.

I "threatened" my real estate agent with the first one and I succeeded.
