RF Manufacturing Engineer
This position will be responsible for all technical issues in the Microwave Radio manufacturing line. Accountabilities will include product quality, new product introductions, factory output, and cost. Solve problems that impact daily production goals. Define/improve production processes including method sheets and overall procedures. Provide training to production personnel. Lead production teams to define and implement improvement projects for capacity, yield, cycle time, and cost. Plan and maintain schedules for major area projects. Identify and improve data collection to investigate abnormal conditions and find root cause. Analyze test data and define/lead projects to improve yield using sound statistics and DOEs. Review new product designs for manufacturability, testability and cost and incorporate these products into manufacturing. Review and implement engineering change orders affecting the production line.
QUALIFICATIONS: ECE and 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with electronic circuits required, specialization in communications preferred. Exposure to Lean Manufacturing techniques is desirable.
EXPERIENCE: Strong understanding of electronic circuits; RF a plus. Strong general engineering skills; statistics a plus Ability to lead small teams from defining to executing. Focused on results.
RF Test Engineer
During the product development stage, the RF test engineer should: Participate actively in the design process. This includes design reviews, performing DFM and DFT analyses, and ensuring that they are properly implemented. Acquire knowledge from HSX Test Systems Group about test stations, test fixtures and test software. Once the product is in production, the RF test engineer will be responsible for: Maintaining the test software, such as bug fixing. In this process, the test engineer should be capable of performing sufficient tests to validate the changes Improving the test software, such as reducing test time, improving test coverage, etc. Adding new product and/or test features support product engineer in factory problem resolution, performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· ECE and 5+ years of RF Engineering experience.
· Experience in software configuration management tools, e.g. Rational Clearcase
· Working knowledge in at least one of the following test software’s (Visual Basic, .Net, Labview, LabWindows/CVI, TestStand)
· Knowledge in database (Microsoft Access, SQL)
· Knowledge of Digital Microwave Communications
· Knowledge of communications protocols (RS-232, E1/E3/DS1/DS3/STM1/OC3)
· Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, application to Production environment.
· Team player, motivated and self learner
Experience:
· Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
· 5+ years of working experience in test fixture and test software design
· Hands-on experience in RF equipment (Frequencies up to 40GHz) and telecommunication test equipment
