Face Book screwed in the UAE? Sep 05, 2007
Has Face Book finally become a victim if Etisalats silly blocking rules?

Everyone I know in the UAE now seems to experience problems with the site, yet people in other countries report it as working fine.

What's going on.....?

Clear your cache and cookies of your browser.

Facebook sometimes update their cookie structure and this messes with the site if it reads the old cookie.

yep it is screwed..
it's almost going to be screwed. . xxx
If you just observed what happened to the other community online site before it's been blocked. This is exactly as what is happenning now to facebook.

Almost same with Zorpia, hi5, and myspace.

In myspace, If you will checked the peeps in UAE all of their photos are X marked. Well, It's a diff case if you are in DMC, DIC, etc.
You can access averything on there.

How? Etisalat and Du have marked their own separate territories for ISP service. Like pimps.

My understanding is that DU will only be able to operate IT and Cable and landline services in Freezones therefore only competing with DIC.

Hehe, like how etisalad promised per-second charging before du came online. And then a few weeks ago, in gulfnews, the etisalad boss says "we will do it if there is demand." Yes, we enjoy paying for the entire 30 seconds when we make 10 second calls.
