i am on a visit visa and i have got a job at a company here. the company is indian and this is my status.

1. company has sponsored me on a visit visa
2. company has my graduation certificate
3. company has passport
4. Offer letter signed by me.

My company has not yet started applying for my permanent visa as they will take some time.

I would like to leave this company as i am getting another job. my current visit visa is valid till 12th of july 2007 but will be extended by my parent company. I am on a visit visa and i would like to know the consequences in my case

1. Can i switch the job when on visit visa - You are not legally allowed to work on a visit visa!!! So yes there is no law against you changing your job!!!
2. How to get back my passport & graduation certificate in this case - Ask them to return the same. If they refuse you can always go to the police as it is illegal for them to retain the same. If you are planning on resigning do not sign any labour contract letter or any other document.
3. will the company charge me for visit visa if i dont work with them - They might charge you

Please note that it has been just 15 days that i joined the company. i plan to leave due to office timing reasons the timings to come home are really hectic and i reach home at 9 PM instead of 7 or 8. - Thats upto you as your organisation should have really done the procedures by now.

Only every alternative saturday we have leave. The timings are hectic and have screwed my personal life.

I need some advice.
Please help if you can.

But if you put yourself as the first employer, imagine that you have spent months to search for candidates, spend a fortune to do the paperworks (visit/employment visa) and flight tickets, etc etc. Then suddenly right after coming, the candidates just move to the others.

So get your a#s moving and get the paperwork done when they hit the deck as soon as possible.

I know many companies delay the visa process while they assess the candidate... they've only got themselves to blame if the new employ moves in this timeframe.

These people who just come to Dubai and got job already. But before the employer finished applying the residence visa, they just easily shift to other company just because the other offers better package.

Imagine that you have spent years with your boyfriend/girlfriend, got engaged. And on the D-day of marriage, he/she didn't come just because "the other" is better. How do you feel?

Commitment should be towards your work and not necessarily towards your employer.
