Live in an Emmar community - there are no problems with DU, but banned through etisalat!

I think there are ways to bypass the block, I am sure someone on here knows how?

I don't get why the TRA has the proxy in place for Etisalat but not DU? Whats that about - are the TRA and Etisalat the same thing?

You need to route via a proxy.

There are a number of proxies.. but no one talks abt it .. or refers it to friends.. for the fear of them getting blocked.. Proxy.org itself got banned..

I was using two different proxy bypassers in the past week - and they both got banned after a couple of days!!!

Sage you will have access to certain blocked sites because you are in a freezone using DIC, where such restictions on sites rarely exist.

Once again, you do not need any bypass with DU, Orkut works perfectly.

In nine months of Tecom/Du, I have yet to find ANY website blocked?

Some of us are quite technologically challenged... anyone mind explaining in simple terms... how you can get access, if your subscribed to Etisalat?

Having said that, i think that it's quite 'interesting' (being careful with the choice of words) that they've banned Orkut ... coz of 'negative influences' ... however, everything else goes on in this city... in plain view!

Of course you could simply try https:// instead of http. I'm not sure if it will work for Orkut, but many other sites are completely accessible by using the different protocol.

I assume since the proxy also parses https:// that this is merely a 'feature' of the proxy, and not actually bypassing it.
