I am thinking of going on holiday to Dubai with my girlfriend. I have been told that you cannot hold hands or touch each other in public. Is this true? What you can touch each other in public?

What about if you are in a very busy bazaar and you need to hold hands to stop losing each other?

I am sure they would lrave white people alone. I am westerner of asian origin so would I get some problems?

Affection in public - holding hands, hugs - probably won't get you into trouble. I've seen Emiratis holding hands in shopping malls.

Tonsil Tennis might get you in trouble. Is culturally offensive and probably illegal.

I've been 'told off' by a DF member for using 'flirty' inuendos on the forum!

Who knows what will happen if you dare to hold hands in public?!

But don't you find the 'quiet/quick to critise' ones are always the worst?!

ANYWAY.... seriously.... I have had many vacations in Dubai and have never felt uncomfortable with being me! And I am a cuddly, open person!

Yep they are prudes there, can't even give an innocent peck on the cheek in public. But boy does it get wild behind closed doors. Some body said ther was no womanizing ther but there is it is just hidden. My Gf gets phone calls for date from her CV online an some even pretend to have a job till you meet them,Then they get aggressive. Worst womanizing place on the planet they just try to hide it.

Holding hands in public is fine, seen so many locals doing this recently, so they'r hardly going to have a go at you for it.

But snogging etc would be a big no no.

How about.... take me to bed eyes? Can they have you for that??

Dubai is an open country, i dont see any problem holding hands.

Is it in the news? Maybe when you go to Saudi Arabia, there will be possibility that you will be on jail when you hold hands in public....hahahah
