Jumeirah / Jumeira ?

Does anyone know what the difference is between these two area spellings please, if in fact they are the same area but just a different spelling ?
Thanks

Thanks guys !
From what I can make out, there are 3 main areas to stay - Jumeirah, Creek and Downtown.
Would I be correct in generally thinking that Jumeirah is the most suitable place for a good old beach vacation and the other 2 areas are business areas ?
Many thanks, I appreciate your forum help

There are more areas to stay .. like Dubai Marina, Springs, Barsha, Greens, Bur Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road, Oud Metha, Mirdif, and the list goes on ....

go to dubizzle.com and look at the map in the rentals section it will give you a good idea of the residential areas of Dubai...

You get that a lot as a result of writing an Arabic word with Western characters. eg Mohammed Mohammad Mohamed Mohamad.

Jumeirah seems to be the most common but the sign on Jumeirah beach road says Jumeira.
