I just like to say a big hello to everybody in this forum as its a very informative place to find out alot about Dubai

I am a recently graduate from Nottingham University in the UK obtained a 2.1 Class in Computer Science degree and I have a 1 years industrial placement with 3Con. Now im currently working in Nottingham as an IT contracter. I believe that I have no problems securing a top grad job here in the UK but my interests and aim is to work in Dubai, and thats why i've taken a serious step to move there this December to try and find work there in my field of IT. Im competent in arabic and have basic skills in russian too.

I greatly appreciate if anyone could offer me any advice before making the move to Dubai and if a fresh grad with 1.3+years experience can make it there in Dubai?

you sound very similiar to me... i have 1.6 months experience in IT, just graduated in the summer, currently working in IT support/networking and looking to move out to dubai within the next 3 months
