I am thinking about taking a job in Dubai and bringing my wife, who is an experienced primary school teacher. The question is will she find it easy to find work once we get there? thanks in advance

Teaching salaries here vary from Dhs 1K to 10K for schools. Just a heads up.

thanks for the info. 10k dirhams per month sounds low and 1k sounds even worse. Are we talking dirhams?

teaching, teachers jobs and schooling in dubai are covered quiet extensively in some of the earlier postings on the forum. there is plenty of information, some of it may be a little dated, but this is normally with regards to the salary packages of the teacher - or what they were recieving back then. the fundimentals remain.

1k per month -

more realistically 5 - 10k per month, but don't expect it to be much more than that!

10k (UAE DHS) is not much when you compare it to british pounds or euros, but remember there is no tax to pay on it
