The prices seem cheaper there in Sharjah, and the dealers have indicated that the cars can be registered in Dubai and warranty is also recognized here... so what are the cons?

What's an authorised dealer? Of what?

Cars can be registered in Dubai, but they'll leave you the hassle to taking it till there.

i think he wants to buy a brand new car from sharjah, as he heard cars are cheaper in sharjah compared to other emirates.
so is a bmw 335i cheaper in sharjah compared to dubai?

I don't think cars are cheaper in Sharjah, as the Dubai monopoly dealers are the same as Sharjah. Abu Dhabi has different dealers, and some cars actually are cheaper there.

Cars are much cheaper in Oman... many people buy them there and then drive down !!

Problem with that is the warranty, I believe. Even some banks do that when you buy a new car thru them.
