Dual voltage (110V ~ 240V) appliances May 05, 2007
Hi,

All of the household appliances I have seen here utilize the fixed 220V.
Are there electrical appliances (notably blender and monitors' LCDs) that accept input voltage 110V~220V ?
In that way, I can utilize the appliances all over the world, instead of sticking to any specific region.

Kindly advice. Thanks.

You won't get a dual voltage blender.

Dual voltage monitors, LCDs etc exist but it has never been a problem for me because I don't plan on using anything on 110V.

Taiwan uses 110V, so does US (I think).
With dual voltage support, u can bring your electrical stuffs with you anywhere you go, without the hassle of extra voltage transformers.

What abt the electrical lamps at IKEA ?
Anybody has any ideas ?

Rgds.

Lamps are fine.
On second thought, your blender might also be OK on 110V. Won't hurt it anyway.

Some items are dual voltage, however normally nothing that has a motor. Also whilst lamps can be used on either, the bulbs would always have to be changed.
