could any of you recommend or not recommend any specific car insurance company?

Royal Sun Alliance are great. You can get an online quote and they will do the rest by phone and send your docs to you. Reasonable rates too.

You can try and contact Millenium Insurance Brokers.

They are awsome, they got me killer deals on some cars.

Yes, they also have insurance for home, travel etc......
