I spoke to Arnie today and, unless my mobile phone has the ability to contact 'the other side', he appears to be remarkably...alive! As are all his family. And his pets!

So, Xibit: If you start spreading rumours of this nature, be sure that one of other of the Forum members who know Arnie well, will be paying you a visit in the small wee hours and inserting the aforementioned fully grown pineapple into your nether regions!

Its a low down and dirty trick to play and the Mods will be all over you like a rash if you try anything like this again.

Good to hear, I held that topic in suspicion as soon as I read it.

Glad to know it was a farce, sad to see people taking these matters so jovially though.

On first reading it I thought the worse and sent a couple of pm's but after a moment's reflection I read "all previous" posts by Xibit and realized it had to be a hoax (and sent "nevermind" pm's). Some of us remember the Sniper fiasco and his lame excuse afterwards.

So HP please return the condolesce card I sent you. I can resuse it becasue I wrote it in pencil - just in case.

Did you all believe it?? i mean even those who personally knew arnie..?? may b coz i've experienced myself being dead couple of times on the front page of news portals.. thanks to my developer colleagues those days.. it was still on test run though..
I never believed it.. i dunno ..but i took it as a joke the moment i read it..

Yeah well... there's no need for any sick jokes really. It's funny, the things people do to draw attention to them selves. But I gotta admit, it does liven up the board a little at times.

I dont know how why this particular thread was taken in with this much of seriousness. Is is because it is arnie gang? is it coz all the moderators know him? or he's the person of DF or is it coz its Xibit who posted it. We've had many a faux pases in here linking some members, some times even the stories of eloping, kidnapping, and what not.

If its coz of the serious tone of Xibit's post, I like it very much coz thats when you say a joke is pulled off very well. Anyhow it has brought back a lot of old warriors and knights who were lurking around for long time. I think that was the whole intention of the thread.

On the other hand , if arnie really has some health issues to be worried about or has a not so fine short medical history, then its not acceptable to laugh abt it, joke or anything else.
