Dubai Jeep dealership - any experiences? Apr 15, 2007
Does any of you guys have experience with the local Jeep dealership, especially regarding their after sales service?

Any hints are appreciated,
regards
GT

Yup, I have the Cherokee Sport and I would highly recommend them. They will remind you when you are due for a service, based on your driving history ( once you have one! ), their rates are reasonable and they are fast. I take my car to the dealer in Sharjah 6pm and I have always got it back by the next afternoon/evening.

Yup, that's where I bought mine. They were really efficient and polite. Traded in my old Suzuki with them and they sent one of their guys through to Sharjah to go with me to deregister the old car and register the new one. I arranged my finance at the showroom too with Mashreq Bank.
Btw, I loooooooove my Cherokee. :D

Any more Jeep experiences? How much does dealer maintenance cost? I might look into a used one.

Depends what you mean by maintenance. A regular service costs between 2 and 400 depending on no. of kms. haven't had any major repair work done cos bought mine new.

Hey, that helps. Say, BMW sucks you dry Dhs 900 for an oil change from what I hear. If Jeep takes 200, it sounds good. I guess you haven't had any issues yet if you are happy.

Had a bit of an issue with a back window that was opening by itself and sticking! They fixed it twice under the warranty, and have had no problems since the second time.
They're really solid built and reliable, wear well, are fun to drive, good for dune bashing and are fairly eco friendly - what more could you ask for? :D
Which model are you gonna go for?

I'm looking at the 2000-2002 Grand Cherokee 4.7 Ltd. The thing was king back in its time, but the costs and reliability are scarying me. I'd be pissed if my new car had that window problem. Someone on dubai4x4.com mentioned that many dealer services went over dhs 1000. How long have you had your Jeep? The costs you mention sound similar to Toyota.

Hey, thanks for the info. Good prices, although it's when things go wrong that parts prices are high(?)
