This is driving me batty and I bet one of you IT specialists out there know the answer. How can I set up my local internet connection to retrieve emails from my btinternet account onto my desktop - rather than using the web page.

My other email addresses are all fine it's just the darned btinternet one which doesn't want to know and DIC say they can only help with local email account set-up...

does it allow pop3 / imap ?

If they donot have pop3 / imap instead of their typical http login, you might need to ask their tech team to give you a link to http server to be configured in outlook express / office outlook, alike msn plus, where you can download your hotmail inbox to outlook.

or the best idea is, create gmail account, set all your emails to be forwarded from btinternet to the gmail account & then download it from there via pop3.

Hmm .. nah not really ...these days, rarely visit to DF.

Nothing interesting on High Tech Forums , so really bored. All i have to do is monitor digg, for new tech posts ..

are all the techy's on df dead?
