There are many recruitment companies in your field, have you tried to reach them? They can provide their clients with your CV and they can arrange you some interviews.

I would think so. See a lot of ads in the Appointments Times for bankers. And if you go to a Dubai Bank they seem to need some more experienced employees.... far away from western standards.

I am halfway down the track with one agency appointment (In the same field as the original poster..in the markets though) but always useful to have some more ammo.

What area of banking do you concentrate on?

Reason for asking is that I speak to a couple of agencies in Dubai and sometimes they ask me..do you know someone who does this or that , in the hope I can give them a name.

Must admit , its a very good site the efinancialcareers one , there have been several occasions where I have been contacted by agencies that have seen my CV on that site , UAE agencies included.

Worth also noting that it does pay to update your CV from time to time (even a minor detail) as this places you at the top of the pile in any relevant 'keyword' search a prospective agency/employer conducts.

While there are at the moment not a huge range of jobs posted I put this down to the fact that the gulf region is a relatively new portal for this website Im sure in a few months there will be a great deal more to choose from.

Just my 0.02 cents worth.
