I love marmite!!! Not sure where you can buy vegemite coops! Perhaps you should convert to marmite!!

I voted Vegemite!.....to be honest, i haven't tried marmite - but everyone i have spoken to who likes Vegemite, thinks marmite is rubbish!

it would feel like betrayal! ....have a jar of V coming my way in a couple of weeks....going to try and hold out!

I know, it was a bit of a play on your other thread, . but seriously I've never met a non-whitey who likes vegamite or meramite, I'm with you on the blueberry jam though, now that really is d'bomb

Nah, nutella is a whole different story - thats more like a dessert, need to be seriously craving chocolate.

Can't do Jam very often - quite like a good fig jam though.

Haven't tried marmite and vegemite

marmite is like dark chocolate

not many people like dark chocolate, think about it

cranberry sauce (aka Christmas with Turkey) on toast. A must try! MARMITE coming out top in this high brow poll!! Coops you must promise to invest in a jar of Marmite if the polling stays as it is. I am a bit concerned that the popularity of this vote is going to overload the system though

i don't know...as it stands i dont think enough people have been polled to sway my decision.

Now if i didnt have someone promise to bring me back some vegemite in 2 wks, then i may be giving marmite a chance - but as it stands after nearly a year with no vegemite i am prepared to wait another few weeks than sacrifice my standards....

If it's black chocolate & taste bitter-sweet then, i would love it dude.

I'm not a super fan of Vegemite, but it's better than marmite and nutella doesn't even come close.

Now this is the emotionally charged topic that I've been waiting for!

Everyone who likes vegemite and thinks marmite is rubbish has probably only tried the australian marmite, which IS rubbish. I havn't tried british marmite, but I have to say that vegemite is very good when you are craving vitamin B, after a night drinking VB.

On toast with butter to soften the toast is the only way to eat it.

It is an aquired taste. But if you have't aquired it by the age of 3, you never will.

I am very eager to taste both vegemite and marmite. Where can i buy it here?

The choitrams besides union co-op near safa park might have it. If not, then park n' shop further down al wasel road should.
If you are going to try it, don't do what the yanks do and trowel it on like peanut butter.
Just use a very small amount (1/3 teaspoon) and spread it out. You also need to use butter with it.

mmmm i've got to stop reading this thread as it is increasing my vegemite cravings! I have a jar winging its way back to me in a week - so i am going to hold out till then

I tried it last night at my colleague's place. I hate the smell, but good for my diet. I can eat marmite with plain toast bread only. It taste good with butter. I am afraid it will take me years to finish a jar of marmite, so i won't buy it.

Love it or Hate it? I would say both.
