Hi,

I am following my husband to Dubai in a couple of months. I read somewhere that I need to make sure I have my passport and licence in my married name or could have visa (and other legal/administrative) hassles.

Is this important? I don't want to go to the trouble unless it is important.

My passport is on my maiden name and I had no problems whatsoever. The only thing that matters for visa purposes is that you have your wedding certificate. I had my visa and drivers licence without a hitch.

So don't worry!

If your leaving in a couple of months why not get them changed and save yourself any possible hassle, after all you have time enough to do it.
