Moving to Dubai in 2 weeks. Is AED 60k enough to get a decent studio or 1 B/R in a building with a pool etc in or close to Deira?

What areas should be avoided, if any?

I believe you have to be very lucky, this budget can get you a studio but don't expect too much.

I dont know where you will be working Ros, but usually I would stay well clear of Diera...purely because of the traffic and rush...

There are a few new buildings in Karama that may be in your budget range (opposite Lifeline medical group, Opp. Burjuman). Without pool, but its in a good location.

Will be working in Deira so thats why I was looking at renting there. I am considering International city as an alernative.

I've seen some ads for flats at International City starting from 38K/year for a studio, you can check there and you might find something really good.
