Too expensive... roughly 10%-20% more expensive than in continental Europe.

You have a lot of choice here, but prices are inflated.

i just bought an 80gig one, toshiba hard drive in a case, USB 2.0 for AED 230. it isn't exactly what you are looking for but it'll give you a ballpark. I'll also agree with the above statement prices for memory here are generally more expensive than in Canada.

How much time do you have to find out?

i also checked on souq.com the price of second hand HD to get a better idea.
