Moving to Dubai next month. Will be working in Deira (Rigga Road). Where would people recommend living?

my budget will be around AED 55-60K

They got loads of new places springing up which are all extremely luxurious.
The prices should come down soon as there are sooo many.

Possibly but how many of those places coming up are studios or 1 bedroom? although I'm sure the OP could get a very nice house share and their portion would be around or below the posted budget but he won't find his own pad for this amount of money.

I thought property was cheaper on the Deira side and have been told that its better to live on that side because of traffic. I dont fancy being sat in traffic jams all morning!

In general Deira is cheaper than Bur Dubai and to the South (Jumeirah, Barsha, Marina, etc).
If you work in Deira, better stay in Deira. If you work in Bur Dubai, better stay in Bur Dubai. If you work in Sharjah, better stay in Sharjah. Once you mix them, enjoy 1-2 hours of traffic
