Just wondering if anyone in here is in the advertising industry? I'm a copywriter and have some questions? Mainly about what to expect in an offer? What are the salary ranges for junior, intermediate and senior (writer specifically). Is there a best time to send your portfolio around?

Don't work in advertising myself but I work in Media City here and know some. In summary, pay seems pretty crap at the lower levels but gets better further up the scale (as in the UK).
On CVs, it's common here for people just to fax in a CV or hand it in at the door and people actually look at it (as opposed to it finding a bin in the UK) so just send in to companies and see what happens.
