Chocoholic, I understand you support the BNP? They are against ALL imigration, they don't care if an asian is gonna contribute to the host country or not, they walk around singing "burn the paki" ryhmes and whatnot. how can a nation thats going around the world trying to bring countries to peace ... have such a group existing ?????

is it cause of the freedom that this great nation gives to all its ppl .. ??

i think not .. cause otherwise they wouldnt be shutting down mosques an keeping imam's behind bar's... so they are allowing hatred an terrorism idealogies to spread by one group just cause of there race .. an they are throwing another group in jail cause of there race an belifes... when they both as they say an we see spreading hate an viloence...

that to me is not a great nation at all.

I think that's a very jaundiced view Jamal. We have imprisoned a handful of muslim clerics who openly preach hate i.e. speak at public rallies calling for other muslims to kill non-muslims. One mosque was raided for inciting terrorism and evidence was found to corroberate this.

You would be arrested for those crimes in the UAE and indeed most countries.

The BNP, whom I do not support in any way, have remained a legal party by only stating their stance against immigration and national solidarity, the "noteriety" of the BNP comes from their followers interpretation of this and the racist acts committed on their behalf. Several leaders of the BNP were also arrested following an undercover investigation which showed them organising hate crimes. The BNP has a following but is very much in the minority, certainly when compared to other European countries such as France and Germany.

To cover "how can such a party exist", we have freedom of speech as a principle, which comes with its downside to the many upsides.

every democracy has a nationalist party.
If the UAE granted citizenship easier to all the foreign workers, you will find that there may well be movements here who also follow nationalist ideas. Racist attitudes will naturally be present.

The BNP, campaigns on immigration and housing in many parts - it works on votes. At least its a political voice. Most Muslims would much rather it was political rather than an underground mob who were terrorising the people.

Your comments do not appear uptodate with events.
Those preachers who are in jail, do not hide he fact that they want violence or "Jihad" in a violent way. Some may have just poor spoken English, but none seem to retract their comments even after counsel.
If a Christian did that (openly preached violence against Muslims) in the UAE or anywhere in the middle east, he gets probably stoned to death.
The BNP Leader was thrown in Jail for making inflamatory comments himself, so i dont see your point at all.

What is your idea of a Great Nation?
Saudi? where women only recently could drive their own cars?
UAE? where you get arrested for possession of Alchohol or eating during ramadan because its anti islamic, yet the Escort service continues to thrive?

there are pros and cons in all nations. England is not perfect, but trust me its better than most places.
Ask the many muslims who live there, consider it their home and refuse to go back to their parents countries of origin.

And finally, the beauty of it is at least you can make these comments about England, both if you are stationed here or stationed in England, without the fear of being persecuted.
