more or less Dhs.1000/- per person for the hot air balloon in Global Village.


Why is this so costly? I wanna soar high if the price is right.

Me and my love were planning to do that some day over
Stockholm in Sweden, and we were expecting it to cost
that much. About 1000-1500dhs per person. We would
defiantly pay for that much as soon as we have time and
money.

I can think of better uses for money

1000 isn't that much people. you can spend that much or more in a single store at the mall...

Don't even think of it!

2 reasons:

1. The cost of a real balloon ride here is only 850Dhs through Blue Banana (less through me!)

2. None of the balloons at the festival are certified for 'Public Transport' (This means carrying passengers for hire or reward under the terms of an accepted Air Operators Certificate) and therefore you are breaking the international rules of air transport and are also not insured for accidents or incidents.

The organisers are desperate to try and return some of the huge investment in bringing just 30 balloons (the original claim was 100) and paying the vast fees of the personnel they brought in from Albuquerque. They were trying to charge any sponsored balloons US$70,000 for attending!

Its a total rip off and totally against the law!

lol ok i went on a hot baloon and its boring. i mean up in air stuck there moving slowly. u might as well go up to da top floor of a building on shk zayed n look down. 1000dhs aint worth it let alone a trip on a hot baloon aint worth it. unless ofcourse ur alone on the baloon with a girl then its definitely worth it even 1000 dhs

You couldn't pay me enough to get up in a hot air balloon. NO WAY would I ever do that, I'll keep my feet on the ground.

It's nice to be on top of everything, u will feel like a bird.

I saw them taking off from global village this morning.

The sight of, what was it DK... 30 balloons, sorry I lost count, skimming across the rooftops at arabian ranches was something that you don't see every day. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

On the price, 1000Dhs is a lot more than what you'd pay elsewhere in the world, but that's Dubai. The mark up here are criminal. I think that I'll wait until I go home to try it.

^^^ I wanna tried those hot air balloon. But the insurance thingy that DK mentioned makes me think otherwise.

yeh well am trying to take one girl with me to a hot air balloon but shes scared. i told her i ll hold her hand when we taking off and when we in the air i ll hold her really hard making sure notin happens to her. so lets see wot happens

i think it mite be me i think shes scared that i might throw off the balloon n i ll get the money from her Insurance like NOT
