For myself, i always had a problem that my way of thinking is different than a local's way of thinking, makes me feel as a black sheep in my society.....

do any of you face that before with your people?

Well Dude I have the same problem !!
I have been all my life here and interacted with all nationalities, so when I used to travel back home I started feeling home sick, because the way people think their, the way they deal with things are totally different so I couldn't get along. This has something to do with the enviroment, so say that Bleakus had a twin brother called Dude and that he lived all his life here in the UAE but interacted only with locals, how would he behave ? of course different than you do !! so dude take it easy 8) 8) 8)

I don't even know how to fit in with people back home. Same story, raised in a different country with many different nationalities. I think that when you're raised outside your own country's environment the cultural norms haven't been ingrained into you especially if you don't know many people from your country. Then you move "home" and you just can't relate to your country men, and vice versa. They're judging you on a yardstick that you aren't even close to understanding and you're living by standards that are different to people of your country. At some point you stop trying to fit in. It still frustrates me when I see people from home raise their eyebrows at me for things I do which seem pretty harmless to me. I think thats why I have fewer and fewer friends and acquaintances from back home.

nice to read im not the only one who is not crazy about her own kind :) . the truth is im not crazy about white ppl generally. always tell my mom, i only look white but im not  many women would find hungarian guys very attractive, i find them gayish..., our women irritate me to hell. and id chose millions times more a relation where we fight and brake plates on each others head over one where i have to literally rape the man if want smthing to happen... those northern european countries lack passion big time.
anyway seriously, smtimes its frustrating if the message doesnt get through, cos at the end of the day, still ur mother language is the one in which u communicate the best.

I kind feel alien among my people too. Interaction with different cultures, religions etc it does make you different and when I try to interact with my community I find their interest different to mine that I can not hold good conversation with. They talk about latest thing they bought or husband bought or so and so had this amazing new style wedding and if they ask about my research, they start telling me oh someone discovered some herb to treat cancer!!! May be you can get your PhD faster if researched that!! Trying to explain that research is not about that is a mission so I try to be polite and just listen!!

I guess it is very interesting to meet ppl from other countries.
Dubai is the best place to do it.

But after a short time I did notice that the communication between ppl from the same country is much better.

You have the same background, humour,....
Also when you are very good in english or an other language, is not the same like your mother tongue.

But when I visit Germany I have problems to "communicate" with Germans without experiences in foreign country.

I can`t describe why, but I don`t feel me like a pure German anymore.

Do you understand what I mean?
