I don't know why it's been taken away, but I think that the Ladies should get their Ladies only private forum back.

If not for the simple fact that they very much enjoyed having it, then because it's an unfair tease. Like giving someone a present and then taking it back again and laughing in their face.

DubaiForum.com Admin and Maintainers, please take the results of this poll as an initiative to restore the Ladies only forum.

I would agree with you Ian, if time were turned back before there were a private ladies area and the question were "should the ladies have a private place on DF?" My answer would be definitely not.

However, a private space was created. Though I don't agree with it's creation, I feel it's extremely unkind to yank it out from under the ladies here.

The sole reason that female members in here, want a sub-forum of their own is because they want to discuss things, privately and amongst their kind. Anyways the keyword here is private, and sadly the Ladies Forum wasnt private - kinda beats the purpose of them, shedding their inhibitions in there, don't you think?

So if AndyBa could somehow cloak the sub-forum completely or switch to VBulletin, I forsee privacy breaches - and just for the record, there are a number of ways the private forums can still be accessed - which is sad in a way =/

I think that the Ladies should get their Ladies only private forum back, but we should get a gentleman private forum too

I don't think we should have any private forums except for Fight Club. Too messy, too complicated, too exclusionary. It seems some people might let non-members access their accounts to read in private forums they don't have access to, or they can also copy and paste threads to people who don't have their own access to that private forum. Basically, it doesn't stay private, so why bother?
