hi, i,m trying setup the website in dubai, i need a internet host to run my website, do you know any good internet host in dubai? with good and not really high price? let me know thanks

I had a brief experience with American Systems, I would stay very far away from them, the most annoying company I've ever had to deal with in Dubai, and that is saying alot

Having a .ae domain doesnt mean it has to be hosted in Dubai. Most hosting packages in the UAE are very expensive and you get the worst service. As for speed i dont think there will be a huge difference between hosting it locally and in a server based in Europe. Anyway its your choice to decide and here are a few hosting service providers in the UAE:

I'd not host in Dubai period. If I were you, i'd host my website through http://www.godaddy.com

Its one of the best and i've hosted my website through it as well. Its a US based company but their service is amazing.

If you get a .ae name from some company in dubai, you can always forward your domain name to the .ae domain name.

However, .ae domain is top level in the UAE but .com, .net, .org are top level domains worldwide.

you sit in dubai, you look at my website(with europe/us domain name)when you search my website or you look at the website, the search goes to the main hosting internet company (my daddy or ,,,,,,)in us or germany and than comeback to dubai, between this comunication take few min , so here every time you online and you search goes through us or germany and than comeback to you, take few secon, therefore will be little slower, but if you are in dubai and the host is in dubai(.com or .AE) it will be simple and quicker because the internet host is near you,

what do you think? am I right?

it depend on your website server "host" , it can be faster than a dubai host , it depend on the server's speed and server capacity

One thing I do suggest is when you do host, don't put too much flash or huge graphics.. keep your site simple, elegant, informative and neat.. thats what attracts people.

All this hoopla with flash, a lot of graphics, advanced javascripts just makes it slow for people and most just cancel out the webpage even before it loads..

not really. depends on your uae hosting company. if they only have a small link to uae backbone [not sure if there is one, but i assume etisalat network is the backbone], then hosting locally will not give you any advantage. etisalat may have bigger pipe to tap into us network, so it will make more sense to host your site in us. besides, congestion is mostly between your pc and your isp, so hosting in us or locally will have no visible difference.

it is cheaper too, to host your site in us. i host mine at homepage universe, got huge space and unlimited traffic plus excellent site management tool. just get your .ae domain name and point the dns to hpu dns. very straight forward process, just need your creditcard. there are others, like godaddy, mydomain etc. go research and compare pricing and features.
