I am not a frequent contributor in here but I do read many posts when bored.

Since I joined DF I notice lots of talk about Mr. and Mrs. Dubai F and I was just wondering what makes a person qualified, I mean when you vote for a person, what is it based on.

Their level of education? their number of contribution in the site? or is it about better looking? if its about the look, I noticed that most members here never met, so its not the look, career success?

is it about how many members you dated/slept with? Is it how good you are at talking and impressing others and convincing them to vote for you? Good manners may be?
Was there some entry conditions somewhere that I didn’t read? may be.

I think automatically, the king and the queen of the forum are the people who have the greatest numbers of posts?
So what makes a person qualified to enter Mr. and Mrs. Dubai completion please?

Let me try to answer your queries.

Before the casting of votes, DF members nominated a member who they think qualified to be Mr. & Ms. DF. First top 6 nominees will be the candidates to be included for the final casting of votes.

As to the basis of nominations, maybe they nominated the member based on their personality online.

Anyone is qualified to be Mr for Male Member & Ms for female member provided you are nominated. If you think you are qualified to be either Mr or Ms, then you can nominate yourself as well.

[As to members who are still under "identity crisis" ehem! well it is still subject for deliberation, maybe we could have Ms. GAY]

I personally voted for the nominated candidates (Mr & Ms) based on their personality online. Since I don't see them in real life.

I would go after personality; how the person writes. If it's interesting or not.
If the person is funny or not. Actually I think funny is even more important
