But why do lovely ladies want to box????

Boxing is a physical fitness too not only for men. And it's not boring. :D

Kick boxing is more fun!

Well then put all the info needed here, where, how, when

I've been very interested in Finding someone to spar with... I used to box... and I'd love to get back into it.

If you are an amature, I could give you a few pointers and possibly help with technique. Was Under 19's county champ 2 years back in Texas.

Ah... I could very easily take you through the training regime without putting you in a ring or even ever punching anyone.

It's a hard work out and you learn a bit of self defence as well. :D :D :D :D :D

and yes i'm afraid i did miss out on your picture

Im pretty much in it for the same reason, dont really want to fight anyone, but want to get fit and also have a bit of co-odination to be able to defend myself when in need.

Anyone of you here watched the boxing last night held in Nevada, Las Vegas? I've watched it via live coverage, the main event is quite disappointing..only lasted for 3 rounds, not worth a ticket.

That was really a dramatic bout. Bear, Zam where are you?

Best trilogy in boxing history! El Terrible gave up on the 3rd round during the WBO International Superfeatherweight Title bout. I'm checking on Torres of columbia, he's a southpaw. I would love to see JMM & Baby Face Assassin inside the ring too, all the belts are with them :boxing:

You want gloves as close to Sparing Gloves or Fingered Bag Gloves for training or sparing; not the standard American Boxing gloves, they are just too heavy for a fast martial art. Here are some examples below.

Image

American Boxing Gloves

These are what you don't want... Notice that they are thicker and heavier.

ImageImage

Bag Gloves

These are gloves with thin padding, best for professional sparing and practice. The Fingered Gloves (Right) are the type that are used in the UFC.

Image

Tissue Gloves

These are your best option. They are cheap and the perfect glove for training and light sparing. These are the type used in martial arts tournaments for Karate, Taekwondo, Judo, and Jujitsu.

I think, that is what I need Bear.

Also, I need to get something for support for my feet.
