Hi Guys, i just had my DELL Inspiron 640m last week.
OS was XP Home Edition.
I format the HD and installed XP Professional.
Now, the MediaDirect is not working.

Does anyone here have the MediaDirect CD or knows where to get it?

It is not available in the Service Center.

My HDD is 80GB. I just created 2 partitions and left 4GB for the DELL MediaDirect (now, im just waiting for the kind being who will lend me his CD)

just call dell and ask them to send you the Media direct cd. atleast they send it out for free in N.America

i went through the tons of cds i have for dell systems..but found only Eurotools cd for inspiron. Guess thats not what you actually want.

Tried their website..dont they have it for download or something

but what i need is the MD Installation CD...

i also spent hours on the internet, but found nothing...

its not available on the Jumbo either (thats where i bought the Inspiron640m)

im very frustrated....

i have read in some forums that it is available in the US...

maybe someone have that CD here in Dubai..

anybody? willing to lend the Dell Media Direct Installation CD?

Years back when i had no internet and my modem was not working, a guy in Quality computers lended me the modem driver CD though it was out of their policy.

So you can try Quality Computers ( Bur Dubai ), CompuME ( They deal with Dell ) located rigth next to my office in Garhoud Near the aviation.

Try any computer dealer like in al ain center or al khaleej center who deals with dell machines.. and may be they can help you out.

There are rare chances of someone reading your post here and lending you the cd.
