Good Evening from sunny London

I would appreciate some suggestions on the following. What is local Arab etticate with regard to eating food or drinking while in malls or on the street etc. Iam researching bringing a food business to Dubai and would appreciate any input.

Thanks for the reply ABS. Basically I need to know if the Arab culture frowns upon carring food and drinks around. In certain districts in Japan it is seroiusly culturally impolite, I was just wondering if the same applies in Dubai.

Carrying food around during Ramadan is forbidden and is also quite disrespectful.

Do not walk around drinking alchohol even if it is legal to buy in stores. Do not walk around eating bacon strips... Its insulting.

Eat with your right hand in public and do not swear while eating.

Well apart from the exceptions Liban gives, I'd say eating on the go is a big part of the lifestyle here, definitely not something objected to

If you're looking to run a local-oriented place, alcohol and pork won't go across well. also, to obtain a booze license, the restaurant has to part of a hotel. good luck
