what would be the Reasonable Salary to ask for, if you have 7 yrs experience in web design/multimedia industry and apply for a web designer position in Dubai?

it differs really. Aspects such as one's experience, nationality, company also. There's no standard rates for salary. I dont know if it would help but try browsing the other section for expat help, you might figure out something there....

ok, here is some info:
exp: 7 yrs
graduated: from college/North America- studied for 5 yrs
works with different apps such as: Macromedia Studio, Adobe CS2,
Streaming Servers, Video/Audio Edt systems such as Avid/FinalCut,
knows how to work with MS SQL Server. Has some exp in print as well.

The question is: How much would you ask for if you were this guy?

if you are asian 2800 AED
if asian + western educated 2800x2=5600
if you are european/american 2800x3=8400

european/american 2800x3=8400 =2,286 USD

OK...2000 usd/Month!!! it's less than what a jr web designer makes in the states !It doesn't seem to be an attractive salary at all. ....

where did u get these figures from?

These are just rough figures. Dubai market is weird. Some company can pay you 15k/month for the same job.
It all depends for which company you are working and where you come from plus experience, qualifications.
I know someone who is a SAP engineer and that what he is being paid + accomodation and car

not a very bright future for multimediators in Dubai I guess!! hmmm...
