Exceptional Circumstances?

Exceptional Circumstances? Sep 28, 2006
The g/f and I were eating in a restaurant yesterday afternoon (closed off area) when we noticed an Arab lady in full "ninja outift" (sorry, cannot remeber the name for it) eating and drinking! This suprised us both somewhat.

I can understand if their are perhaps medical reasons for not abiding by the Laws i.e. fasting etc during Ramadan, but are there any others?

Actually, it is hard when you want to be out doing things but have to try to find a place to eat. Preggie women can feel quite sick if they don't eat small things regularly. So Ramadan can be a bit frustrating if you can't resume your normal activities.

that’s not an excuse she could have stayed home and eat why go to a public place pregnant or not on period or not.

But it wasn't a public area, as Yorky said it was "closed of"

Give me a break mema. Why on earth should a pregnant, nursing, menstruating, ill Muslim woman be stuck at home during Ramadan instead of using the closed off eating areas like everyone else who isn't fasting can use? She has her rights, and according to Islam, she is not supposed to fast. There is nothing wrong with Muslims who aren't fasting being out eating with non-Muslims who also don't fast.
