Pffft...That´s it? Hardy any news value. He uses only already used images and quotes from the Quran. I disagree with Shafique though, I do think this film will have an influence on people´s ideas about Islam, mainly bcs of the publicity it gets and it´s very very graphic. Since no violence has been reported so far, I think and hope Muslims realize that if they want to prove this guy is wrong, the best and ultimate way is by not using violence.

It is very graphic yes.

However, if people are already anti-Islam then this won't change things.

If people know about Islam, then they will recognise it for what it is.

Those who don't know about Islam or are undecided, may choose to believe what they see, but I'm not sure how many there are out there - and they are probably also going to listen to the Dutch PM and others who denounce the film as a distortion.

I just think that all the gullible people out there already think Islam is a by-word for terrorism, so this film won't change minds.

Anyway, I echo the Dutch PMs relief that there hasn't been any violence so far and the demonstrations have been peaceful.

Following threats to our staff of a very serious nature, and some ill informed reports from certain corners of the British media that could directly lead to the harm of some of our staff, *****.com has been left with no other choice but to remove Fitna from our servers.
This is a sad day for freedom of speech on the net but we have to place the safety and well being of our staff above all else. We would like to thank the thousands of people, from all backgrounds and religions, who gave us their support. They realised *******.com is a vehicle for many opinions and not just for the support of one.
Perhaps there is still hope that this situation may produce a discussion that could benefit and educate all of us as to how we can accept one anothers culture.
We stood for what we believe in, the ability to be heard, but in the end the price was too high.

i knew itd be taken down sooner or later, should have physically downloaded it, i was meaning to as well, that went too quick

as expected, the Hydra effect took place

cut 1 head off, 3 grow out..... just in less obvious places - the website's quote above though on its main page has drawn more attention than actually airing the movie.

Now, you might say, this is just a loner with his own opinion. Only every reaction from Muslims has been supportive, and I haven´t seen one Muslim telling this guy he is wrong...

Good try ebonics. It's not my fault that the majority of Copts who left their religion (like you have done) embraced Islam over time peaceably and not because of taxes or swords. Just because you are in the minority of ex-Copts in choosing to not become a Muslim, please don't take it out on me. [My research shows that the vast majority of Copts who have chosen to abandon the Coptic Church have become muslim - but if you have other evidence, let me know ebonics]

There will inevitably be some violence, I fear, but as I said I'm with the Dutch PM on the sober handling of the situation so far, and there are many non-Muslims pointing out the sensationalist claims of the film as false representations.
