Just a query for our Koran experts, the Koran says the Pharaoh put infants to death but gives two separate time frames for when this happened:

When Moses was a prophet:

And when he brought them the Truth from Our presence, they said: Slay the sons of those who believe with him, and spare their women. But the plot of disbelievers is in naught but error.
Qur'an 40:25

When Moses was an infant:

Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye.
Qur'an 20:39

So when did the Pharaoh order the killing of baby Hebrew boys?

Well, Pharaoh issuing two orders to drown Hebrew infants is a necessary explanation to explain this contradiction in the Koran.

Contradiction in what sense? as why did he? or did he or not?
by Hebrew here, u mean Israel ( Prophet) sons or Moses followers (those who believed in Moses)?
anyway, if you read the whole story, and as I read and heard it, When Moses was an infant, Pharaoh (whose probably Ramsis the 2nd) got a warning from a magician or something that in this year a kid will be born who will end his empire or life, so Pharaoh ordered to kill all Hebrew sons born this year (and as Haroon was older he wasn't killed BTW), then the story of Moses life goes on...

Later (after many years) when Moses came back to Pharaoh and asked him to let Israel (PBUH) son's go with him etc.., he (Pharaoh) ordered to kill son's of those who (BELIEVED) with him...then the rest of the story...
