Every year again and again people from the entire world point fingers at Muslims that mark the date on which Prophet s.w.s. was born as Mawlid.
They call it bid’ah, and declare that such Muslims will go to the Hellfire.
And all they do is:
Reading and reciting Qur’anTalking about Sira and reciting poems that are Sira in a poetic wayIncreasing salutation upon the Prophet s.w.s. Calling people to follow Prophet s.w.s. and his sunnah.
Nobody is throwing a party, eating food, bringing gifts or getting any….
Every day some Imam or some group of people around the world talk about Sira (History of Prophet s.w.s.), and every then and now there are seminars, workshops, khutbahs, lectures…. about Prophet, peace be upon him, and yet only it is bid’ah on his birthday???
For example UAE marks Prophet’s birthday by giving free parkings, giving free but paid day from work etc. We all love it!Why would somebody come and say that that is bid’ah and that people will go to hell for that as the Prophet s.w.s. did not give free day on his birth date to anyone, or a free parking.
How do not people realise that they are being stupid and daring by declaring another group of Muslims as those who will go to hellfire for marking the date of Prophet’s s.w.s. birth by talking about him and in his favourite way (poetry)?
Prophet s.w.s. loved poetry and poets himself. He was proud of his people who could make verses and defend islam and talk about islamic history. He praised them.
I am sure that he would praise poets who wrote Mawlid - his own history in a nice and easy memorizable way - and that he would bless them. So many women and men cry when listening to Sira during Mawlid through verses that rhyme but yet tells everything how it was happening in order.
Maybe those BID’AH proclaimers are jealous because nobody cries on their khutbas or lectures from Sirah!? Nobody memorized them and repeat at home while doing daily chores!
How useless can be Imams who attack on people who choose to mark the Mawlid day by talking about Prophet s.w.s, about his battles, daily struggles, his hard childhood, him being orphaned and sent from home to home after death of his most loved protectors….
Prophet s.w.s. himself did not mark his birth day as to him it was not about himself. It was about The Message. To us as his followers it is about The Message and himself as well, as he is our Leader, our Role-Model. Peace be upon him!
And what a better day to choose to talk about him and his Sirah then the day he was born into this world. Or any other day! Why that should be bid’ah??Why that shall lead us to Hellfire if we gather to learn about him or to send him more salawaat as a group???
When you see fat Imam, almost like a pig big, with belly bigger than German beer barrel, and yet he declares Mawlid bid’ah and those who mark it as fuel for the Hellfire, while he is all bid’ah himself from head to toe! And not only that, he is also a sign of Yaom Al Qiyamah!
