So who are some of the famous ones in the Emirates? Are they local or come from other Arab lands. Please don't mention Haifa. What is the big deal with her?

Hello everyone.

I just discovered this forum & think it's great to see a UAE forum that is in English as I am an Australian.

I don't know a lot about Dubai but it does like like an amazing place!

We actually have an international news channel here called SBS that broadcasts the DMI DRTV Arabic news from Dubai a couple of times a day.

I was also wondering someone here could perhaps solve a mystery that has puzzled a few of us over here for quite some time.

One of the newsreaders is cultivating a growing fan base over here on one of our media discussion forums as quite a few of us think she seems really nice, entertaining & quite lovely. But, alas, none of us understand the language so, even though she no doubt announces her name every day, we still don't know what it is.

She is always reading the news two or three days a week with a male co-presenter (I think one of them is called Ahmed) & has long black hair (usually straight but sometimes wavy), is always quite animated & displays a very cheerful nature.

I can upload a recent image of her if that would help & someone can suggest where.

If anyone out there does know her name & is able to possible provide any information some of us would be most very grateful to you.

Regarding that last pot I made where I was asking if anyone of you kind people know the female newsreader's name, a friend of mine uploaded a short video of her to YouTube so now you can see exactly who I am enquiring about.

I'm not sure if it's cool to post URLs here so or not I will just give you the title of the YouTube video to which I am referring:
