Not sure if it's your first time in Dubai but Just remember that STARING is a popular pastime here, especially by a group of certain people (just stating a fact here). Very very irritating. Your fiance and you (yes they stare at men too) would probably get very less or none of it in areas like Marina.

I think they're being dumb in their reports because they're forced to. This is the UAE anyway, and nobody can say anything bad about it- especially by its own press.

A solution to this problem is to hire western bus, shuttle, and taxi drivers. Since westerners are the best drivers there is, being highly civilized and all. Dubai can do it!

What are u kabayans on about? A "Western Filipino" is simply a person from the West Philipines. Sort of like South Indians. Lol. The country is so thin geographically that there is no distinction between east and west. North-south-wise there're the mountain tribes and muslims respectively...
