You can rent, but in the end it would be worth buying a car. Cars are cheaper here than most places. En...

Tel = depends on how many overseas calls you make. Food is approx same as UK (so i...

Yes, of course they will let you bring it in. Why not. Business men come in every day with laptops. Just make sure though that you take any "illegal" stuff off it, just in case you get stopped!

Sniper,

I wish there were in the diamond business. They retired some years ago to become farmers! They live off what they produce, that includes milking cows and slaughtering sheep, pigs and chickens, rabbits etc.

Sorry to hear that. To be honest, it is not a good time in the UAE/Arab Countires. A lot of prominent players are passing away and seems to be creating some uncertainty in the markets and the future. But, there's only another 15.5 hours to go before the 17th Jan. So, not long to go, hopefully it wil...

Also, AD announced that it will soon be spending approx US$26billion on new developments etc.

The traffic is not as bad as Dubai, but when all this money gets let out into the market, Ad will just be like Dubai.

Yeah, they both retired when they were 50, that was nearly 15 years ago. They have a great lifestyle and are both fitter and healthier than you and me. Its not easy though, it is a tough life for them. They have sold part of the 170 acres they had before to help cut down the workload. They now have ...

Looks or performance? If looks = Mazda 3
performance = Civic

in the choices you have given above.

To be honest, it might a lot easier just getting her a UAE DL. It does not take too long (max half a day) and just simply ad her to your existing insurance.

Other than that, I have no idea of the lagalities on the other issues. You may well have to contact your insurance people.
