Again I totally disagree with this. I could earn alot more in the UK. However my quality of life would be lower, so I'll take the trade off thanks. This is the first time I heard that living in Dubai has higher quality of life than in home country. As for most people living here is a pain, had to &...

I would disagree with you XTY. Dubai is an interesting experience, and if one is lucky( friends, job etc) than the quality of life is really excellent. I guess at the end of the day is really boils down to what one is looking for. The difference is lots of westerners come here for the experience. A...

Sheikh Mo, where art thou? (football)

Kaka is now officially Real Madrid player in order to help the club clearing financial crisis! WTH!
I wish Sheikh Mo to buy AC Milan soon, and fire those two fellows Berlusconi & Galliani for making this thing happen :(

i personally believe that Iran will never ever attack UAE. first they have great trading, second the ancestors of some UAE leaders (Sheikh Mo to name) are Iranians. Very tight relation. UAE is very smart indeed, to make allies and make benefits with both US and Iran ;)

Abandoned cars

Just yesterday when taking my friend to airport going back for good. I saw more and more dusty cars in and around airport parking areas. And this can't be mistaken.

How do you know? They just sit there looking at the plates through cameras. And if your visa isn't cancelled and you don't plan on abandoning your car, then you have nothing to worry about do you. Are you saying by seeing car plate number (by aiport authority) then the officer will trace the owner ...

One funny story about credit card

So today I called a credit card provider ("Bc" platinum) to close it down as I'm leaving the country soon. It's been several months since the last time I use this credit card. I always paid in full every month so I'm sure there was no balance due. Call center staff : "... but Sir, you...

Aren't you supposed to take a "No Liability Certificate" or Security Cheque (if given) back from them? Shoot! I didn't think of that when closing 2 credit cards in the past. Would that be a major problem in the future, in other words can the bank be trusted? I'm not even sure if they will...
