I still need some info out of the one in Etisalat site about getting Blackberry Internet service from Etisalat. As I travel out of UAE a lot, I'll get global roaming package (295 AED/month). - Push email: not all email to be pushed, only selected emails. Is it possible? - Most important: since BB is...

Video capturing & streaming requirements?

Normally I record TV programs on the fly (via AV plugs) using portable media player (Vosonic) into MP4 format. But I'm not satisfied with it (not very good quality). - How to capture video (AV/RF plugs or DVB stream) from e-Vision cable box (some kids channels) to the laptop (DivX/XviD/HD format) ov...

Place for donating usable clothes, shoes, toys?

Where in Dubai a place where we can donate some used but still usable clothes, shoes, toys, households, etc? Kind like Salvation Army or orphanage? There's "too much" (blame DSS and DSF) used but still usable clothes and stuffs at home that we'd like to throw out. Instead to put in the gar...

If you want private rooms you'll have to go to Harry Gatto or Hibiki.

Whereabouts? How much? Many latest English songs?

"never actually processed" is different than "before the visa was completed" (means in the process of medical/immigration/etc). The first, may be not. The second, could be.
But then they're still holding your passport, aren't they?

Drink plenty of water.
Get antibiotics like Augmentin.
For prevention and fitness, drink Vitamin C like Cal-C-Vita effervescent (Calcium+1000mg Vit C).

Only fixed deposit can give you some interests.
Unless your savings is millions of Dirhams, it's not worth it to expect interests from only savings account, which normally only around 1%/pa (and that would be paid every quarter/half year!).

Last time I try some restaurants in Madinat Jumeirah (except Noodle House) they kick us out. No kids allowed.

Entertainment for the parents or kids (like a playground)?
The latter, I would still prefer food courts of malls (MOE/City Center). Magic Planet is only next to it.

I think restaurants are not for kids (particularly in the evening) - specially not toddlers or misbehaved one. It is incosiderate for other dinners many of whom got a babysitter themselves so they can enjoy an evening at a quiet restaurant. There is a place and a time for everytthing... But my daug...

NO DON'T take antibiotics! They only work on bacterial infections, most of these things are viral and antibiotics will do absolutely nothing. I cannot stand the fact that you can buy these things over the counter like sweets, and most people don't know what they need to take them for. This is the r...

Surely being prescribed antibiotics for minor ailments should ring alarm bells? The whole health industry incentives are skewed to make it too easy to "overtreat" patients for profit rather than just tell them to continue as normal, take some vitamins and let your body do the rest. People...

Maaad Landlords do not have to specify a reason to renew a contract.  Not if we got already the proof (new unsigned contract with higher rate) in hand. Means if the landlord then kick you out, you and the court know obviously that they'd kick because they want to re-let and increase th...

landlord does not, i repeat does not have to renew a contract. I understood. It's landlord/owner decision whether they want to continue to let their properties or not. However, they should give early notice (2-6 months) to the tenants. Now the question is that this "notification" clause, ...
