Spouses visa

I have gotten a job and Dubai and will be moving there by mid-Jan. I was planning on coming with my wife. However, while processing the visa the company has said that I will have to bring my wife with me on a visit visa and then transfer to a residence visa. The additional transfer fees will have to...

Accom. near DIFC

I will be joining a company in DIFC in Jan. Since initially I wont have a car I was looking for a 1 BHK appartment near that area or somewhere from where I can commute easily.

My annual budget is AED 84K to AED 96K. Could someone advise me of a good area which is near DIFC in the budget.

10K seems like a lot of money. Is there any website from where I can confirm this?

Or is it possible that she comes over on a visit visa and then go back. After that I process her application for residence visa.

Thanks for the response. Money is not the concern, I just want to know what those additional transfer fees are. The employer is willing to pay for the residency if she comes later on. I will only have to pay the incremental transfer fees if I decide to bring her with me. So in light of the above, wh...

pick and drop facilities

I have heard that some people provide this facility of picking you up from home and will take you to your office. They car pool and charge a small amount for it.

Can any one tell me of such service for those working in DIFC.

If you are a freezone employee, there is no ban as you do not deal with the labour office, Immigration does not have any bans now. DIFC might not let you move to another company within DIFC but I am sure you can move to another freezone.. Does this mean that if we join one company in DIFC we may no...

Should illegal taxis be allowed

Why are private taxis not allowed in Dubai? These are allowed in many other countries. Since users are so fed up with Dubai Taxi why not give them competition by allowing private taxis.

What is the rational of not allowing private taxis or car lifts?

Bonk / Shaq Thank you for the responses. I guess 1 to 1.5 hours isnt that bad. Currently I am not used to driving that long distances but I guess once I start I will get used to it and also find out ways to improve the experience or find people to car pool with. Talking to someone is a good way of a...

Re: Time Limit Before Visa Expiry For Travel

Thanks for the reply. My passport is valid for four more years so no issues there. I had heard from someone and just wanted to confirm.
