can't you proxy onto a canada or US based server, get on amazon ca or amazon com, and then register your mastercard/visa there? I'm thinking that should fix it, unless Virgin's got the kindle 'locked' which I dont think can happen .........

hey bud, i'm thinking of moving there in the next couple of months too from Toronto ... from what i've seen in the job market there - it's pretty hard to compete for the same pay range as IT labor is available and plentiful - so consider a pay cut ... but then you'll automatically save on the 30% yo...
