Checked out PAN furniture - no luck... sharjah is last option as getting there is a pain. don't have a license so can't drive and cabs are expensive..

Thanks fayz.. we liked some of the home centre stuff but it was very bulky... we have a largish room but with bookshelves, large windows etc. the space actually becomes to small to keep such bulky furniture... preference would be to buy readymade (at least you know what you're buying) but if that do...

nah.. checked that out as well.. used to happen earlier but they've changed the rules... cleared the 'garage parking' test today.. bloody joke.. after 15 years of driving, have to pass a test to reverse a car and park it!!! anyway, now I can finally get on to the road and start lessons for the road ...

these aren't controls. getting a license has less to do with your driving skills than the mood of the person sitting next to you who decides who should get a license and who shouldn't, depending on their mood. I live in the Oud metha area in Dubai and go to Sharjah a couple of time every week. While I don't travel during peak hours, i.e. mornings and evenings (my trip are during the day), the drive to Sharjah takes anyweher between 20-30 mins from Oud Metha, with Salik.
